Came in on a not-so-busy Sunday late-afternoon with a group of three. Our waiter was some short Asian dude.
Service = trash.
We ordered a long list of items, and you’d expect the waiter to write it down right? WRONG. This cool guy can memorize orders!
He served us a wrong item and tried gaslighting me by telling me that he repeated the whole order back to me, and that he specifically remembers everything I said. Then he had the audacity to tell me that if I want the correct item, he’ll still have to charge me for everything. Excuse me???
I’ve been here once before, and had a good experience. I invited others this second time. But ya know what? Never coming back all because of him.
I’m sure the owners/staff wouldn’t care with the way they haven’t addressed anybody’s reviews about their service.
Sucks to suck.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I arrived at 9:29 PM, well before the 10:00 PM closing time listed on their website. However, the male host informed me that they stop seating guests after last call at 9:20 PM. This policy is not mentioned online, which is misleading and frustrating for customers. If the restaurant prefers not to serve guests 40 minutes before closing, they should update their posted hours to reflect this. Additionally, the host’s rude demeanor made the experience even more unpleasant. I hope the management addresses these issues to avoid wasting customers’ time in the future.
The food ok but way overpriced for the amount they give. Everything is overpriced and on top they charge me $30 on tip without even letting me know.
I’m visiting Seattle from Southern California, and I really missed Korean foodthis place hit the spot!
The restaurant has been recently remodeled, so it’s clean and modern, and the background music made it easy to enjoy a relaxed meal.
We ordered the dolsot bibimbap, spicy Korean fried chicken, hamburger steak, and spicy pork over rice.
The bibimbap was loaded with a variety of fresh vegetables, and the hamburger steak was definitely the highlighthighly recommend it!
The spicy pork and chicken were a bit too mild for my taste, but overall, the food quality and portions were great for the price.
Would definitely come back again!
Soondooboo: spicy kimchi soup with beef, shrimp, scallops and oyster (seafood army stew version) and sikhye cold rice drink (so refreshing) and the banchan were good. Fried eggplant in soy sauce was new and delicious.
Recommend having more banchan though.
Bulgogi over rice was big, leftovers for sure.
Radish kimchi was amazing; japche a little greasy; tokbokki a little too sweet – still, I loved it and cant wait to go back!
If this is Mama’s Kitchen, she can’t be Korean. Food tasted like it was quickly and poorly made. All the dishes ordered from spicy pork, chapchae to bulgogi were weak in flavor and had zero pop. To boot, we were a party of 4 plus a 1.5 year old baby and yep, they charged us the $21 extra for being a party of 5! He wasn’t even in a highchair! Seriously, as a Korean, wildly disappointed and ashamed of this restaurant saying its Korean, Mama is definitely not proud.
We ordered Mama’s Kimbap w/beef and Katsu over Rice Lunch Special. Pro tip, dunk the kimbap into the radish sauce.
Weve been coming to Mamas Kitchen Comfort Korean Food since 2022, and every single time were blown away by how delicious everything is. Today was no exception – we visited again and realized the flavors are always consistent, and always amazing.
Our kids absolutely love the bulgogi over rice – its their favorite!
And if youre a fan of tteokbokki, this is hands down the rose seafood tteokbokki youll find anywhere in the U.S.
We highly recommend this place and will keep coming back again and again. Truly one of the best.
