The food at Mehfil was really delicious . We ordered the paneer kadai, paneer chilli and naans. The naans were one of the best Ive ever tasted.. really fresh and soft, it paired really well with both the paneer dishes. The paneer was really soft and the gravy had a lot of flavor. We also got the mango lassi, which had a unique taste; was really sweet and smooth. Although the ambience could have been a bit nicer as we were served in paper plates and the tables were a bit dirty. Our server was really nice too. Over all this restaurant is one of the best places to dine for Indian/pakistani food when in Atlantic City, would for sure come back again when visiting AC!
We were skeptical at first due to the reviews but gave it a shot anyways. We had the buffet and everything tasted excellent. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for Indian food around Atlantic city.
Food was great and service was excellent, first time back in Atlantic City and this was the best Indian food nearby!
This place is soooo good, I didnt experience service first hand since I did DoorDash but omg its so good I had to do a review, its pretty affordable, it was around $27, very worth it. I got the chicken tikka masala and basmati rice, and the garlic naan. The chicken was very nice and tender, the seasoning was perfect with the right amount of spice, I got medium. Very good highly recommend if you want to try something new. Plus the portions are pretty big.
We ordered take-out. They recommend ordering from their website, which we did (turns out they have some arrangement with DoorDash for their delivery). They don’t charge for delivery, but you can add a tip to the bill which is supposed to go 100% to the driver. Anyway, we ordered seven items in total (including two naans). It all came in one large paper bag with a handle, which was handed to me by the driver. When I brought it in and took everything out of the bag, one of the items — the Aloo Gobo — was missing. I called the driver, and he said that he gave me what the restaurant gave him. He suggested I call DoorDash HQ, which I did. I got an automated attendant that asked me to hold, which I did for several minutes before hanging up. I then called the restaurant directly (they were still open). It went right to voice mail. I tried calling several times. Same result. It’s the next day and nobody called me back. Pretty disappointing. This is why I gave 1 star for service.
I should say that the food had a decent flavor, but all of the items (except the vegetables in curry sauce) was mostly sauce with very little substance to it, such as the dahl and aloo palak. Thus, I gave 3 stars for food.
I gave 3 stars for ambiance only because we didn’t eat in the restaurant and couldn’t really comment. There really should be an N/A option.
Food was excellent I love almost all dishes but my personally favorite dish was that sweet dish I didnt remember the name but that was amazing
Any one from south india who knows what mehfil is and come here expecting it would be similar to that would be shocked. I ordered chicken biryani. It was like eating tomato bath with chicken pieces. The rice was so old and stale. I just ate two three spoons, paid 18$ and just left. Completely avoid this at all costs.
Top notch Goat curry and chicken biriyani.. must visit
We had dinner here yesterday and our experience was pleasant. The food was authentic and above your average Indian food you can find elsewhere. The plates were too small for the buffet and I didnt like to keep going back, especially with all the crowd. They had a buffet and had good choices for vegetarians like us. There was a lot of people and I could tell they were trying their best to handle everyone.
Their food was delicious I Recommend 10-10 . Ppl were nice and welcoming and the setting was very clean .
