The place so called Turkish. They do not have even Turkish coffee cups. Is it so difficult to find? The quantity is low. Prices are Hafiz Mustafa Level!
Yesterday I drove all the way to DC from Maryland just to try the Knafah and unfortunately I was so disappointed because the Knafeh is made of toast bread not the real one and was very pricey, I thought for the price it will taste really good, but unfortunately, its not authentic
However, the ice cream was really good and then employees was very nice and helpful
Pasha Castle Sweets in Washington D.C. is an absolute treasure for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for authentic Middle Eastern flavors. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm aroma of freshly brewed Turkish and Arabic coffeeeach cup crafted to perfection, strong, rich, and full of character.
The real showstopper, though, is their incredible variety of baklava. From classic pistachio and walnut layers to more unique regional twists, every piece is flaky, buttery, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques. Its hard to pick a favorite because everything is so delicious!
And then theres the knafeha golden, crispy crust with a gooey cheese center, topped with fragrant syrup and crushed pistachios. It’s honestly one of the best I’ve had outside of the Middle East.
The shop itself is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who are happy to explain the different sweets if you’re not sure what to try first (hint: try everything). Whether youre grabbing a quick coffee or sitting down for a sweet indulgence, Pasha Castle Sweets offers a truly authentic and delightful experience.
Highly recommended for dessert lovers and coffee aficionados alikethis place is a must-visit in D.C.!
I went there today and the employees were so nice especially the one guy I think his name was Nathan or something I dont know he was so nice and I didnt know what to choose from all the options so he helped me pick a milkshake and a dessert it was so good Im definitely going back there again.
The best spot for a refreshing sweet in Georgetown. The booza is delicious, well-kept & pairs so well with Baklava or Knafeh. Castle. Honestly, thats all Ive had. They also have Turkish delight, an iced beverage that looks really nice & other treats.
Hard to imagine anything here lacking for flavor. Pasha.
Wide array of booza flavors: ashta, nutella, Superman etc.
A Turkish café has a cozy vibe. The indoor seating is decent not huge, but comfortable enough for a quick visit. Their desserts taste genuinely authentic. Prices are on the higher side.
Just a heads-up: theres a steep staircase to get in, which might be a bit hard for some.
Got a box of 4 treats – different baklavas, some kadaif desserts, and a few other things. The phyllo dough was soggy, not crunchy, literally every single pastry was crunch-less and just tasted oily… The flavor was meh, especially with the condition of the phyllo dough being chewy/soft/damp. Waste of $$$$ 🙁 I was soooo excited I absolutely loooooove turkish desserts, we were in a rush so I only picked up to-go items instead of Kunefe and those are all a hard pass
