Chicken was tough and too much char. 2nd try and will not be back. Charged same price for a water as a soda. Cant get a glass of free water?

Lucky to have across this joint during our visit to Houston . Excellent chicken and beef kabobs. Borani Bandejan was a super tasty surprise. Mango juice is the real deal unlike the fake stuff in most restaurants. Will visit again cheers

Unfortunately, I have to update my review from 5 stars to 2. The service has gone downhillservers now seem to have three top priorities: playing with their phones, playing with their phones, and playing with their phones. I assume the same applies to the kitchen, as the food quality has dropped significantly. The yogurt was disgusting, and the bolani was soggy and watery. Sadly, I dont think well be coming back anytime soon.
The food that I order was good. I will try the other food as well. Hope they keep the same quality. I visited the second time and we were happy. I am not Afghan so I cant judge on originality but I had Afghan food in many restaurants. Food here is well prepared and taste also well. A bit spicy for me. Lamb chops, Boolani, Chapali, and Eggplant are the dishes that I will try again in future. I just hope they keep the same quality and attract more people. One of my new favourite places in Katy!

Terrible experience from start to finish. Service was painfully slow, and the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Our entrées came out before the appetizers, and we had to wait nearly an hour just to get our food. Completely disorganized and unacceptable. I will never be coming back.

My family and I have eaten here several times now and the food is constantly good. Even ordered online pickup and portions are just the same and full of flavor.
I even made a mistake tonight by ordering from the Hillcroft branch (different website) and they assisted by making my order @ Mason Rd which was prepared really quickly.
Thank Saffron, love the food!
