We used to come to this restaurant occasionally and always thought it was pretty good. This Sunday, we came back and ordered the lamb stew rice. The staff mentioned its usually only available on Fridays, so we were excited that it was being served today. At first, we were happybut after bringing it home, we realized the rice had a strong fridge smell, and the lamb was nowhere to be found, just tiny bits of bones. The meat was also dry and tough. After this experience, we know we wont be coming back again.

Host & waiter were unwelcoming and very slow. Waiter didnt give me water even after I asked twice.

They took 15 mins to serve me just 2 chais.

Zam Zam was my go to takeout spot when I lived in Hawthorne. Its what I miss the most about the South Bay! Incredible food served by incredible people. I still come back for Biryani whenever I am in the area. Truly one of Los Angeles underrated gems!

My first visit here was disappointing . It seemed like the owners kids were running the place, and the customer service was lacking. No one came to take our order we had to go up to the counter ourselves, while staff stood around chatting or on their phones even for the water i asked 3 times took them 20min to bring water. It was frustrating and unprofessional. This had happened 2 times i came here but got fed up when I brought my friend.

Its honestly no surprise that the restaurant next door, Al Watan Halal Tandoori, is always packed. Even if their food isnt good at all but, their customer service makes up for it something this place could really learn from.

I went back today just to pick up food (I didnt want to dine in again because of my past experience), I had a short talk with the owner she is soo nice , the mother she mentioned they had been verified, possibly referring to my review. I told her that my feedback wasnt meant to damage their business, only to help improve it. She seemed to understand, so I let her know Id take the review down as long as the message was heard.

I do hope they take it seriously. The food is the BESTT , but without proper customer service whether its better training or hiring staff who care itll be hard to earn peoples loyalty. I want to support small, local restaurants, but respect and hospitality go a long way, and again, it’s the best food you can have in this area actually outstanding!!
