The Omer Mosque is a beautiful mosque on the main road, very easy to reach, it has congregations from almost all Muslim countries, the imam who leads the prayers has a very beautiful recitation, a peaceful environment. Masjid Omar (Omar Khattab Mosque) in Paterson, NJ, is an absolutely beautiful and serene place of worship. The complex is large and thoughtfully designed, housing not only the masjid itself but also an Islamic school, making it a full-service center for community and faith.
Its located just off Main Street, right in the heart of Paterson where Turkish, Middle Eastern, and Islamic stores line the block offering some of the best food, sweets, books, and Islamic fashion youll find in the area. Coming here feels like a spiritual and cultural journey all in one.
The Masjids architecture is breathtaking from the grand chandeliers to the colorful Islamic art, Arabic calligraphy, and beautifully carved Mimbar. The detail is stunning, especially the decorative tiles and murals featuring Allahs names, and calligraphic honors to the Prophet and companions.
The womens prayer area is also clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, something you dont always see and very much appreciated. The entire masjid is spotless and radiates peace.
The moment you step inside, it truly feels like youve been transported to a masjid in a Middle Eastern country an authentic experience, right here in New Jersey.
