I regret bringing two out-of-towners to Cafe Turko – it was a terrible experience. We visited on a Sunday evening while the restaurant was understaffed with malfunctioning kitchen equipment. While this is not uncommon, there was lack of communication from the employees. Instead of managing expectations, the staff hid the truth and did not communicate, while cramming in more diners through the door. This left my guest, a diabetic with low blood sugar,
waiting more than an hour and a half for our meals, with no service or care towards our table. We tried many times to flag down a waiter which was close to impossible. This evening left a bitter taste in our mouths.
The restaurant is colorful, warm, and spacious. The service is attentive, quick, and helpful. Our Server was so welcoming and happy to recommend her favorites from any section. All of our needs were met and then some. She really added to the lovely experience.
The kitchen is incredibly efficient. The food came out at a great pace and it tasted just as delicious as it looked. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful as well.
I couldn’t recommend Turko Cafe enough. They have a great variety of dishes and flavors. You can bring your meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegan friends with confidence that everyone can find a dish they’ll enjoy.
I haven’t had a chance to truly explore Turkish cuisine and wow, I’ve been missing out. What a great introduction to a food full of flavors.
Also, their baklava is the best I’ve ever had.
I can wait to come back to try more
Service and atmosphere was alright.
Ordered manti and beyti kebab. Food was expensive for the quality they provided.
Good service, good ambiance. Food is not worth the high price.
Probably one of the best restaurants. Their cardamom tea and lentil soup was really good. I overall loved the food and service. I hope they expand on their vegetarian menu.
The falafel plate was absolutely to die for, the texture and taste of the falafel might be the best I’ve had since moving to Seattle. I also ordered the Turkish iced tea with mint. It was delicious and refreshing! The staff were perfectly attentive as well. I can’t overstate how pleased I am with my evening at this restaurant, and the atmosphere inside is beautiful.
I had My way pita wrap which was good but the milk baklava was amazing. I can spl drive an hour for that again.
The grandfather beyti is one of the best dishes Ive had in all of Washington!! The milky baklava was also amazing. Our server was a gem and provided great recommendations and service. We will definitely be back!
