Been a loyal customer since opening and everything about HP has gone downhill. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down significantly. Portion sizes are literally half of what they used to be. They used to fill your bowl up to the brim and now it barely weighs anything.. Chips are so stale and they havent had steak for months now. Instead of opening new locations, how about focusing on the quality of your current ones..

Why is this restaurant classified as a Mexican restaurant, but does not serve beef or pork? Nevermind this, the quality of the food has gone down drastically and is not remotely as good as it used to be.

This is such a GREAT place!! Food is always sooooo good and so fresh!! Ive been eating here since they opened like 6 years ago or something food never misses. I always get a burrito bowl and cookies. Their pink vinaigrette is also the only dressing I like with my salads. Truly cannot rave about them enough. Their cookies are soo good, my nephew from Brooklyn always asks me to pick some up from here before I head there. 10/10 always.

I have enjoyed Hot Peppers for many years but am saddened that they are no longer HFSAA Halal certified.
This business was built up by the frequent customers that trusted this business with the promise of authentic halal meat. I remember coming here multiple times near the opening in 2019 just because it was a certified restaurant.
I ask that the owners kindly reconsider and continue serving certified halal meat so that thousands across the NYC area can continue to enjoy the delicious halal Mexican food served here and at the Astoria location.
