About
Nestled in the heart of Uptown, the Masjid al-Rahma invites anyone curious about Islam in the New Orleans community to learn about and explore the faith. Since its establishment in 1983, the masjid has served Tulane Muslims, university students and faculty members, and New Orleans Muslims.
Although its doors are open daily, on Fridays, the masjid hosts communal Jammah prayers. During Ramadan, Muslims are welcome to join Iftar prayers and break their fast as a community.

Beautiful musallah for a university campus mashallah. I was visiting in a Friday and found this musallah to be the closest masjid to the Zoo. I couldnt find any info on the MSA website about Jumah (last update was years ago). Walked here with my family and found NO ONE HERE FOR JUMAH. So while its an amazing place to pray, IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO ATTEND JUMAH, there is none at this location. Jazakullahu Khair.

The Jumah prayer here is as follows:
Khutbah: 12:00pm
Iqama: 12:30pm
This time does not change throughout the year. If you find yourself around Tulane’s uptown campus on a Friday or any other day, it is the closest mosque to go.

Great Masjid for all TULANE and Loyola students and faculty and near by workers.
