I order a family meal via ubereats and pretty disappointed. Came with meat (we did a mix of chicken and gyro), rice, salad, pita bread and dessert. It came out to be around $50. For the portion, it would be cheaper to get individual platters. The meat didn’t taste as good as the one in manhattan and I found a piece of a glove in my salad… That being said I will not order from here again.
Today 3/30/21, at 10:00 am, I stopped by The Halal Guys vending carts located on 53rd Street at 10:00 am, I was told by senior man they would open at 11:00 am. I agreed to wait there were two carts at the 53rd Street location. I was shocked to see the person cooking the meats on the (cart to the right), taking a sip of water from a plastic bottle of water, what I saw next was extremely unhealthy and disgusting, as the person who was drinking the water poured the rest of the water, he was drinking onto the cooking meat that was on top of the flat grill. When I brought it to the attention of the other person assisting with the cart setup, he told me it’s because the meat is dry. Another person senior man arrived in a van, When I mentioned it to him, he told me he was a manger and that the person who poured the water is a new employee. I told him I was going to file a Department of Health Complaint he pleaded with me (No Please No Health complaint). It’s properly a regular practice this guy does every day. Attach is the photo of the Halal Guy vending cart the person you’ll see on the left of the vending cart cooking is the same person who poured the DIRTY INFECTED water onto the cooking MEAT.
Came here today to get some halal food, and the cart wasnt there.
If youre not going to be there, at least have the decency to adjust your hours so people dont spend time and money to get to a nonexistent location.
Just absurd.

Im editing it to a 4 star as they reached out to me as an apology and offered platters on the house. Food was dry though, and I got it at another location- not this one.
This place is great but has been closed since 2020. I reached out to the halal guys Facebook page and told them about how google says they are open. Hopefully they actually fix it. But just so everyone knows they said they might reopen in the fall 2022. Fingers crossed
The location in LIC is not opened.. i called the business line and they insisted they are opened. The location is horrible to get to and hard to find. If they are in business they need to update correct information online.
The food smells weird. Only reason I came here was because your competitor down the block was sadly closing. Honestly, I regret spending $9 on this because the food was nasty. Im eating it right now and not enjoying it. It also looks nasty. Dude who served me was also weird as hell. If you see this review; please do not eat here you will regret it.

It was a surprise that the food is not tasty, cold and not worth of money!
