Meat was not cooked properly giving bad smell

I have previously reviewed this location and come here often. Today was sad because there appears to be a management issue. I could not understand the woman taking order and wife had similar problems. Initial order was online but was cancelled 2 minutes later. No reason given. Got 2 plates and side humas. The pita all had a very weird paint / chemical smell and peculiar flavor. Check my reviews. I come here as a go to place but this location is disappointing. Look at other recent reviews. Really wont come back.

So ask about the meats / veggies and sauces. They were ok. Wife thought they were good but I know what is normal and this was not that quality. The gyro meat was dried out and not like normal. The chicken was good but not consistent within the serving for doneness. No trays to carry food and containers were not easy to carry open without dropping stuff out.

What is going on at this location?!?

I thought this would be a fast lunch but decided to treat myself to the special. So happy. The seasoned roasted lamb is one of the best things Ive ever put into my mouth!!!!

This place has gone downhill over the years. It doesnt even taste the same anymore. I tried this after a long time and the food was terrible: stale and tasteless.

Terrible management, the current manager Marco is unprofessional, rude, obnoxious and unfit to work at an establishment catered to Muslims. And shame on the higher ups for hiring people like him. I’ve been too this location a few times and every single time they don’t give enough meat, it’s beef with rice not rice with beef. I went there recently with my wife and they skimmed us on one of our three large platters. Upon complaining the manager Marco took it personally that someone can complain and became obnoxious and unprofessional. No apology no empathy no acknowledgement. I wrote a very long detailed email to the Halal Guys ownership, it’s too long for me to copy paste here so I’m giving a short version which may illicit a response from the management but whatever. Anyways, it’s been almost two weeks and the Halal Guys email support hasn’t gotten back to me on a solution. They told me last week someone will be calling me and no one ever did, I followed up today and they said it’s being looked into and we’ll let you know. I moved from NY last year, I’ve been eating platters from them since the 90s in the city, and instead of taking it to Google to review immediately I tried resolving it with their ownership directly, truly didn’t want to have to write a negative review for them. Unfortunately now I can see why they’ve hired people like the magnet Marco at this location because there’s just no thought or care behind who’s serving their clientele. $50 for three platters (street food) is already expensive, top it off with terrible customer service and portions that are miserly and ungenerous makes you feel like you’ve been taken for. If Muslims can’t get treated with respect in a Muslim owned establishment there’s something seriously wrong. My experience at this location has been supremely disappointing but I think I’m more disappointed but the way the ownership has handled this situation. Suffice to say I won’t be spending my money here any longer.
