Food took forever to arrive and it was nasty. First time here and they were very rude hospitality was trash! NEVER AGAIN!! Dont do it.. Spend ur money somewhere else!
I ordered this rice dish from an Afghan restaurant, and it was honestly a big letdown. The food tasted like leftovers dry, bland, and completely lacking in freshness. The rice had no aroma or flavor, and the few pieces of carrots mixed in felt like they were thrown in just to say it had something extra.
There was no balance of spices, no richness, and no sign of the care or depth that Afghan cooking usually has. It looked and tasted like something that had been sitting out for a while and just reheated. For a dish that should be warm, fragrant, and comforting, this was the total opposite. Definitely not worth the price, and I wont be ordering from this place again.
Stopped here after the stockyards since theres no halal food there and man this spot hit. the naan was probly the best i ever had, soft and fresh. we got the kabuli pulov with lamb shank in the middle, crazy good. also tried the goat shinwari karai and chapli kebab, both packed with flavor but the goat was def the star. the chef/owner was mad chill and super friendly. finished off with some afghani icecream called sheer yakh, tasted fire. whole fam of 5 ate for around $60 and we had leftovers. def commin back.
To start with, its a grocery store plus a restaurant. Its called the Afghan Village. The prices are very good for the groceries. Talking about food is the authentic Afghan food that you can get around Dallas its a must try if you ever stop by. Try Palau Kai And my favorite chapli kebab.
