Great small spot. The vibes are relaxed and you can see their desserts in glass when you come in, you can also see them cooking. The food was very good we loved everything we had and even took home a bunch of leftovers because we wanted to try different stuff. We had the Manti (Turkish dumplings), Imam bayildi (stuffed eggplant) and Chicken Shish Kebab entree.
Stopped at this restaurant on the way to Boston for a wedding from NJ. Absolutely delicious, fresh and made with Love!
Four of us went for lunch. We ordered a mix of hummus platter as starters, two different wraps, a main course and Turkish coffee. The overall food quality, size of servings was excellent. We were more than pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and as we walked out, we went, what a great find. Highly recommend.
This has become one of my favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely delicious. Great flavors and great service. The restaurant is definitely off the bar attend path but it is so good. It is a small place with just a few tables but they do offer takeout. We generally order the same thing when we visit. I get the Shepherds salad and we also get the mixed grill. It has chicken, lamb, beef.
Awful place! We wanted to try it but turned out waste of time, money, and stomach. Food was cold, service was awful(waited 10 min to get salt), price was so high and no Turkish hospitality at all but, they try to charge for every single thing. This is first time in my life I see a Turkish restaurant that charges for small tea after food. They charges $10.00(+ tax) for 4 small Turkish tea. They charged $2 extra because I choose a bread choice that was provided to me for my sandwich, they didn’t even tell me each type of bread costs extra money. SO, basically this place is money scammer. Don’t waste your time in this cramped place, just drive another 15-20 minutes and eat at very nice restaurants in West Haven either Saray Restaurant or Turkish Kebab. They are both very classy restaurant and prices are cheaper than this “kazikci” place. At least they never charge for Turkish tea, they serve food with warm bread&butter, nice servers etc. This place didn’t even bring bread with platter we ordered. So, just go to West Haven restaurants, pay less and get better food&serves.
Best food you can get!!!
I usually get five different appetizers.
You have no idea how good this place is
