I had a disappointing experience at this establishment due to extremely poor customer service. When I asked the cashier how much a pani puri order costs, he informed me it was six pieces for $8. I casually commented to my wife, who was standing beside me, that it seemed expensive. The cashier, a young Indian man, responded with a dismissive and rude attitude, saying, Do you want me to refund you?
Additionally, the girl serving us had an unpleasant and rude demeanor throughout the interaction. The lack of professionalism and courtesy from both staff members made the entire experience uncomfortable.
As someone who values good service, this was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I hope the management addresses this issue and trains their staff on basic customer etiquette, as this behavior is unacceptable.
The worst customer service I ever see what bad people are we paying not getting free I am sure the owner of this place is worst person are beacuse he never check on there workers
Only had vada pav here, it’s made to order, and served with fried green chilies and that red chili powder too, so awesome.
We went here for some ‘chowpatty icecream’ that was advertised in their banner and were extremely disappointed with both the quality and quantity of it. You pay 6$ for a kulfi which doesn’t taste like kulfi, let alone tasting like ‘chowpatty kulfi’. They sell “golas” which is also a scam, its just a snow cone with weird syrup in it.
No wonder they had no other customers.
Highly disappointed by the price of these too. Would not recommend it.
I visited Bombay Street Food recently and, on the front desk person’s recommendation, tried their Paneer Panini Sandwich. It didn’t disappoint! For $15, the portion size was decent and filling. They bake it for about 20 minutes, as she mentioned, which gave it a nice crispy texture.
The sandwich itself was flavorful — crumbly paneer, grated Amul cheese, and a medley of beetroot, onion, cucumber, and tomato, all layered with multiple sauces and a sprinkle of chaat masala. My only minor complaint was the sweet chutney on one side, which was a bit overpowering in some bites, and perhaps a little less oil would have been nice. But hey, it’s street food, so some indulgence is expected!
The takeout experience was smooth — they packed it neatly in a brown compostable box, and it was ready on time.
They also had a tasting (or should I say “testing” as the board humorously read) for pani puri. I tried one, but it was pretty average, so I skipped ordering more.
The ambience was fairly basic, with an open kitchen setup that’s a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, the food tasted fresh and crunchy, but the space could use some aesthetic improvements to elevate the dining experience.
Overall, I’m not sure why this place has a 2.5 star average. It definitely deserves at least 4 stars for the quality of food and friendly service. If you’re in the area and craving some unique Indian flavors, the Paneer Panini is worth a try!
Good number of parking spots available in the lot for free, this place is located near Apni Mandi and other popular eateries in Fremont.
That’s the amount of oil I had drained from one goat keema order. It’s just too much where it should be considered not safe for consumption.
The person serving panipuri is super mean. Never coming back again.
