Very disappointing experience. Theyve reduced the tea cup size and reduced appetizer portions so much that it feels like theyre serving samples instead of actual food. For the price they charge, this is just ridiculous. The owner seems to be in full stingy/miser(pisinari) mode . Better Save your moneythere are much better places around that actually give value for what you pay.

Use to go there for Irani Chai. Now the Chai cups are changed and it doesn’t taste the same anymore. Very short sighted management in trying to save dimes. For some reason felt arrogance in the staff and not the same as it use to be. Maybe a new owner has come in.

Every thing changed from service to quality of food.
They dont want to offer lid for tea cup and reduced the size of the tea cup.

Looks like the here’s the start to downfall, People keep a watch for price jag on what you are buying – bad move – reduced the size of Tea cup with no Lids for the same price as we used to pay for the large one! Use to stop few times in a week but now will hold on myself

One item was priced 6.99 and while paying they are charging 8.99. They got Open Fraud License to cheat customers.

Chowrastha is an amazing restaurant to try a variety of authentic Indian dishes.
Ive had some great experiences here from the spiciest chicken appetizers to many other flavorful dishes.
What I love the most is their Dosa. I always prefer dining in because you can enjoy unlimited sambar, and honestly, their sambar is one of the best Ive ever had.
The only disappointing experience was when my wife ordered a soda we were charged almost $5 for one of the worst sodas weve ever had.
Other than that, this place is fantastic overall and definitely worth visiting for delicious Indian food!

A hidden gem for authentic South Indian street food lovers! The flavors here instantly take you back to Hyderabad. Their Ghee Karam Dosa and Podi Idli are must-tries perfectly spiced, fresh, and full of that homemade touch.
The tea and filter coffee hit just the right note, and the biryani portions are generous without compromising on flavor. What really stands out is how clean and well-organized the place is, even during busy hours.
Service is quick, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about maintaining quality and authenticity.
Whether its a quick bite, a weekend breakfast, or a family dinner, Desi Chowrasta never disappoints. Definitely one of the best South Indian food spots in Frisco!

Not great atmosphere but food never disappoints you if you are so hungry and need to have quick bite it always a go to place every dish is good wont disappoint you if you are I. The are not fancy but it worth the visit
