Wide variety of middle eastern and southeast asian foods and home supplies. Truly fairly priced, and lately they doubled their square footage for customers to lose themselves as they stock for a zombie apocalypse. They also bring special foods during Ramadan which helps make the season a bit more homely for those homesick folk.
The experience I had at Fair Price Supermarket in Alexandria was one of the most humiliating and shameful moments of my life. I entered the store with a personal item in my hand and didnt make any purchases. However, as I was leaving, the staff stopped me without any reason or evidence and loudly accused me of stealingin front of other customerscalling me a thief.
After checking, they finally realized that the item I was carrying had absolutely nothing to do with their store and was completely my own. Although they later apologized, the damage had already been done. My dignity was crushed, my reputation was tarnished in public, and I was left deeply embarrassed and hurt.
This behavior was not only unprofessional and disrespectful, but it also reflected complete inexperience and irresponsibility on the part of the staff. A store that jumps to conclusions and falsely accuses innocent people does not deserve anyones trust or respect.
I strongly advise against shopping at this store. If you care about your dignity, self-respect, and being treated like a human being, stay away from Fair Price Supermarket.
I love this grocery store and often pray at the small mosque inside. However, after Friday prayers, the men are allowed to leave before the women. This goes against the Sunnah, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would remain seated after prayer to allow the women to exit first. This was done out of respect, to ensure their comfort, and to avoid unnecessary crowding or mixing. Considering there are significantly fewer women than men, it feels unfair that they have to wait an extra ten minutes just to leave.
Be Careful!
This store doesnt accept returns even for faulty items. I bought a pressure cooker that leaked while cooking, and they refused to take it back, even with the receipt.
They call themselves a Halal market, but their behavior was dishonest and disrespectful. I left the item and told them the money was haram, but they still took it.
I dont know how they claim this is a Halal market, while they dont care about Haram and Halal, we took the the pressure cooker back because of the problem it had after one time used but they said they dont care and we gave them the cooker and told them the money is haram for that, they took it!
Now when someone doesnt care about haram and halal how they will provide halal stuff!!!!
Will never shop from here again!!!!!!!!
Absolutely disgusting experience at Fair Price Supermarket.
I went there today to buy some halal meat and trusted them to provide something decent. I bought 5 lbs of meat, but when I got home and opened the package, I was shocked.
They had placed a thin layer of good red meat on top just for show and underneath it was full of bones, fat, and trash cuts that not even an animal would eat.
This is not just dishonest, it’s straight-up unethical. You think your customers are stupid? You think this is okay just because you want to make more money?
I came to this place for halal products, but clearly, the only thing they care about is profit, not quality, not honesty, not respect.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you care about what you eat and want to be treated with basic decency, avoid this store at all costs.
Placed qurbani order and was told would receive meat on the 2nd day. After waiting until 2pm called only to be told it would arrive 4pm and to wait for their call. Waited until past 6pm that day yet again only to be informed the meat has not arrived and now it will be there the next day. Just told to come tomorrow- no time no window. After asking what time myself the person says 8am or 1 pm! At this point I am offered no apologies or reason for not delivering on time. What if I had guests over that night on Eid with no food for them. Waiting day 3 until past 2pm to receive a call to collect meat. Arriving shortly after 2:30pm to pick my order, am directed to the butcher section to pick up meat from the fridge all 3 heavy bags tied together to be lifted by myself. No courtesy, no apology for delay.
This is only the 2nd time I have visited this shop in my life because of recommendation but my experience has been very disappointing. The first time I went to the store was also by recommendation years ago and waiting at the butcher shop I saw a small mouse run out from the meat section near the fridge! One of the butcher comes out to kill the mouse with a broom right there and then dragged it back behind the work counter (where the meat is prepared). I vowed never to go back to this store and I never did until this Eid upon recommendation since they were taking orders for udhiya/qurbani. Hopefully I dont have to visit this store again for any shopping.
I hate to have to write this review but I just wish that our halal meat stores and markets would operate on a professional and offer polite customer service not just that its Islamic mainly but also sheds a positive light on our younger generation (children)that accompany us to these stores to witness and be totally bummed out by lack of respect and courtesy for customers.
