BEST TURKISH FOOD IN THE GREATER NEW ORLEANS AREA.
Food here is competitive with many of the top Turkish restaurants in NYC, where I used to live. The food was tremendous; all the dishes were fresh and incredibly balanced with the fragrant spices and high-quality ingredients. The döner was perfectly seasoned and spiced, unapologetically authentic, and clearly homemade with passion, a refreshing deviation from the lifeless frozen mystery meat considered gyro throughout most of the rest of the Mediterranean food scene in New Orleans. Even the salad on the plate was shockingly good, as many restaurants neglect it; here it was a perfect balance of fresh produce with bold olive oil and aromatic Turkish spices that made for an irresistible delicacy.
Service was perfect. Attentive but not intrusive, friendly staff, and a family-run feel that allows for simple bliss.
As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by the smell of fresh-baked bread and Turkish spices that immediately puts you in a mode to imbibe this wonderful experience. The restaurant decoration immerses you straight into the streets of Istanbul and really allows for that family restaurant vibe that ensures immaculate food and service. This restaurant is a must-try for any foodie in the area.

The utensils were clean. Who ever is the owner or whatever this guy was that hair didnt appear to be on his head, I asked him to give me a STEAK KNIFE, he couldnt even cut through that rubber CHICKEN with a steak knife.
I paid 11$ for a Kunafa to come home and find out its more of a bite than a plate, the pictures on the menu and the front of the store are very misleading.
someone that we knew recently went here and said it was really good so we decided to stop by and try it out.
the restaurant is nice and has plenty of seating space. the service is also good.
we ordered the shashutka, the farmers salad, and the gyro. fresh bread plus yogurt was given as a starter. the shashutka was really good with good flavor and great taste. the farmers salad was also very good with good chunks of tomatoes and cucumbers. the bread was really good and fresh and direct from the oven to the table. the gyro was alright, good portion size but average flavor.
overall excellent food and ambiance, a big pricy but good flavors
