I was very disappointed with the food. The chicken piece in the sandwich was pink from inside and the food was so salty. I could not eat a single fry because of the saltiness. I felt sick after eating the food. If I am spending more than $50 , I should be getting some quality food. I should think twice before coming here again.

This place is SOOOOO good. The mega chicken sandwich is the absolute best around, especially if you like really hot and spicy. You choose the heat level . I had a small mixup one time here and Jay, the owner and Anthony, the manager, took care of it no problem and I truly appreciate their hospitality and again, the food is super high quality. Thanks guys!!

I have been here twice and the food is exceptionally good. Both times I got the loaded fries, the portion was enough for two servings.

I treat myself to a lunch out once a week. This is my go to. Very friendly owner/manager. And the sandwichen are on point, just find the right heat level for you.

Im going to base this off of my only experience ever when wanting a chicken sandwich from here – for carry out

I’m not too sure if this has been just a “Me” thing, but seeing some of the lower star reviews it definitely isn’t! The fact they have not addressed it is insane to me. First off, portion sizes for the actual food are questionably small.
You order a large chicken bites? You get 1 sauce. A. Single. Sauce. That’s for 10-15 nuggets btw! sometimes more but they’re smaller nuggets. Want more sauce? nearly $1 PER SAUCE and the container is tiny. You need at least 4-5 sauces if you’re a dipper to properly eat. That makes the total $20 per person…
And lets talk about that “bowl” they have now. $15 for 4 nuggets and some rice and lettuce? $15 gets you a large chicken bites or an entire meal with a drink that comes with nearly 3-4x the amount of chicken. Whoever is making these prices has zero clue what they’re doing respectfully. They use the SAME SIZED NUGGETS in the chicken bowl, you’re telling me I pay the same, get 4 nuggets and some rice? That’s actually highway robbery and there’s zero ways to convince me otherwise.
2nd, I’ve ordered from here for almost a year now, I do like the food but lets get one thing clear, I’ve gotten sick probably every 2 out of 5 times I visit. Food poisoning? not sure, but the stomach pain is BAD and it’s only from Hangry Joes, I’ve had much much hotter with no pain after or getting sick, this place has made me sick multiple times. The other location near DC has never made me sick. Only this one. Same thing with the other rockville location, both of which have equally been greedy.
All in all, Hangry Joes is a great place to eat assuming you:
A: Don’t Get sick
B: Are comfortable paying (For some items) way too much for too little.
C: Love Spice

The wings here are fantastic. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and polite. I see a lot of people ordering their boba drinks Aunt other fruity teas. I haven’t tried those yet. Our favorite is the lemon garlic wings.
