We went in on Sunday for the buffet and we were not disappointed in any way. The owner is a gracious and kind host. My lunch companion is a vegetarian and the naan, okra, channa, lentils, rice, and samosas were all delicious and veg-friendly. I had some chicken wings and some stewed mutton that were also very good. I’d highly recommend this hidden gem.
We called for a reservation, the girl that picked up was rude and didnt wanna help at all. We said we were coming in 10 minutes and as soon as we pulled up the restaurant was closed. Not worth it at all!!!
We love this place! Delicious and authentic food, comfortable and colorful atmosphere, friendly and welcoming service! Weve only been for lunch, and theres always plenty of free street parking. Excellent choice if you like a good Indian buffet and supporting a small family business!
I will never return to this place again!
Let’s start with the food. We opted for the buffet, thinking it would be a great choice based on the menu and price, but we were mistaken. The food had been sitting out for hours without any coverings, resulting in several items being overcooked or dried out.
Now, about the owner/waiter: when I approached the owner to share some feedback, he responded rudely to my suggestions and made excuses that Ive never heard before. When it was time to settle the bill, he insisted that payment could only be made in cash. When we mentioned we didnt have cash on hand, he directed us to an ATM, but he failed to provide a receipt for our paymentdefinitely raises some red flags.
Aside from us, the place was completely empty, and the worst part? My friend discovered a cockroach in the bathroom. We considered leaving then and there, but we didnt want to seem rude. Looking back, we absolutely should have left at that point.
Stingy place, overpriced, special buffet does not have any proper appetizer items …cooling doesn’t work properly …fans are for decorative purpose only…ask to pay money via cash giving excuse that network is down .
Replying to owner post :
This is the bill ( $131) I paid for 4 person buffet along with 4 soda cans and 4 bottles of water. Appetizer only had 1 chaat and burnt samosas. Also not sure what is the custom item mentioned in the receipt.
We had 3 kids ( two of them are around 1 year old) and one around 2.5 years . Who even considers charging them for buffet ??They hardly eat any adult food.
Went there yesterday, to check it out. Asked (I am assuming the owner), for 6 meat samosas as his ad on FB shows. and masala Chai. The guy seemed very shifty. Said he does not make meat samosas (that was just an advertisement), and he has to check to see if he has any (tea leaves). This is pathetic!. He then says he only has veg samosas and that they are 3 dollars a piece!. His samosas, are probably, filled with gold!. ️. We left , not with a good feeling of the Restaurant and the owner.
I was with the previous reviewer (Deepen P) at this restaurant on 4/19. Upon reading the owner’s feedback, I feel compelled to straighten some things out.
After we were finished eating, we were informed we would need to pay cash only because they had already closed their shop & register. We were directed to use an ATM outside and had no choice but to pay in cash. No receipt was offered. Not once were we even given the option to pay with card, so the statement that was made by the owner regarding my friend’s card declining multiple times is completely false. It would have been courteous to at least give us a head’s up of the closing time.
Also, I never saw any food being replenished. The same amount was there as before. It wouldn’t make sense to continuously replenish it if they were closing soon anyway.
We may have seemed happy, but we were being polite.
I’m not one to complain and I never leave reviews so make of that what you will. Instead of lying, consider taking some of these reviews into consideration to help your business.
