Was driving by Fremont last night (Saturday 07/05) and decided to stop at Pakwan Fremont to get TOGO for Sunday lunch. This was around 9 PM at night. Bought 2 Chicken Biryanis, 1 Goat Briyani and 2 Chicken Legs for Togo. The chicken Briyani was a little yellowish like it was mixed up which made me doubtful, but I assumed that is how they made it these days.
Travelled for 2 hours and put them in the refrigerator to enjoy for Sunday lunch. Took out the food today and it smelled different before heating. Put the chicken Briyani in the Oven and heated it for 2 mins, once it came out, it started stinking. Tried to take bit of it to taste and the rice was very stale. Called to complain to the restaurant, once guy picked up once I told him the food that I bought last night was bad he passed the food to another guy. He straight out called me that I had not preseved it properly. He did not care to ask when I bought it, did not care what else I had ordered along with it, no empathy or feeling bad for the customer and straight out blamed my fridge that my storing conditions were not correct. The mutton Briyani I bought did not go bad though. Does that mean that the Briyani is bad or my storing conditions? He never even listened to what the concern was and kept on talking about it has never happened in their history. I finally hung up on the phone saying that I will never step into that restaurant again or recommend any of my friends to go there. I am really surprised to see how they are managing to survive in the market by being so arrogant and rude.
If someone is going there expecting customer service good luck to you guys. Attached pic of STALE Briyani here.
Sometimes gets crazy packed, but the food has always been the best. Sometimes the staff can be blunt. Every dish i have got has been amazing.
The food was great there. The portions were okay, not amazing but not bad either. The only gripe is that they charge for their chai which if I remember correctly used to be complimentary and a lot of other places still do.
It is good food. Just not my favorite Pakistani restaurant, but good to eat nonetheless.
Great place for dinner and team meeting.
Paneer, Choley, Biryanis, and BBQ items are best at this location.
I recently visited and tried their Biryani, Nihari, Malai Boti, and Murgh Chholay. The only dishes I liked were the Malai Boti and Murgh Chholay. The Nihari was okay, nothing special and the Biryani seemed old and not fresh.
One thing that really disappointed me was the service. When I asked the staff for a tray to carry food from the counter to my table, they replied in a very rude manner. That kind of attitude made the experience worse.
I hope they improve both the quality of the food and their customer service.
While the food here is terrific – especially the tandoori fish – the place can feel a bit chaotic at times.
Food is okay but there is no service. Nothing great about the atmosphere.
