I am very disappointed. I have been a fan of this place for years, I love the food and Arun is my favorite restaurant manager. But every time I come in when the two youngest boys are working behind the register, they always mock me, say inappropriate things while Im sitting trying to enjoy my food, and this evening when I came in I asked for a cup of water they both stared at me and started laughing. It was the most disrespectful experience Ive had at a restaurant in a very long time. I understand they are young but thats jot an excuse to be rude. The food is fantastic and the other people who work there are very nice.
ARUN WAS EXTRAORDINARILY HELPFUL IN GIVING EXTRA CURRY AND EXTRA SALAD ; AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GOOD FOOD QUALITY 5/5; ASK FOR ARUN

Don’t go here unless you’rw hoping for an OVERCHARGE on your card. I hadn’t been there for close to 5 years and just today, while I was in the neighborhood, I ordered a Lamb Karahi for pickup. It took them close to 20 minutes to prep, fully expected. The problem was when I went to pay, they charged me an extra $2 more than what the menu stated and 10% tax (carried out). I confronted them about it and they said there was an extra $1 charge because of rising food prices for each order and they claimed food tax in Virginia was 10%. I ordered one item, so roughly $5 tacked on to what the price should have been.
It finally dawns on me why other reviewers say they insist on cash rather than card… so that patrons can’t dispute the charge with their credit card company.
I usually love this place but I got the Lamb Karahi which is supposed to be the house special. I didn’t mind paying $3 more than was listed on the menu but I was not happy about 1/3 of it being bones. I have had this dish several times before and expect a few bones but was extremely disappointed to bring this home and find so many bones. If I would have eaten in the restaurant I would have made it an issue. They need to tighten things up.
Also if they choose to have young staff they need to train them in customer service.
For years, this place was a must-visit when in DC. The food is still some of the best in the area, but it has gotten pricey now, given the atmosphere is still the same hole-in-the wall
Since when, stores in America only accept cash not credit card. I went to this store with my wife to order chat papri. They guy in the store told me that Its only cash we dont accept credit or debit. Its second time facing such people. The government should take action against such black money makers.
Ravi chatkhara is the best place for lunch, dinner, or even a late night snack. I have been going to Ravi chatkhara for quite a while now ever since I realized just how good their food is. They are a true authentic Pakistan restaurant and whatever you ask for, it is there. Mouth watering Karahi to kabob rolls I would quite literally die for, Ravi chatkhara has it all. Each time I pass by Glebe road, I make sure to go to Ravi chatkhara. For late night cravings, this is a must. My family orders a variety from awesome samosas, refreshing mango lassi, and more. The overall aesthetic is beautiful. I could see myself spending hours looking at the beautiful paintings of Pakistan and exquisite photos of food. Anyone in their right minds would order from Ravi chatkhara over any other place. If you are anywhere near the D.C. metro area you need to try out Ravi chatkhara.
