Ive been coming here for years. Great selection and quality usually. But the last few times Ive bought Papa Pita bread here theyve been moldy. The first two times I thought it was something Im doing wrong. So yesterday when I bought some I made sure to come home and put them in the fridge right away. Today when my husband went to eat one he tasted mold and when I examined it there was mold in multiple spots. Ive also noticed the papa pita bread here is a lot cheaper but doesnt have an expiration date while the grocery stores prices are higher but have an expiration date. Wont be buying papa pita bread from Specialty Market anymore.
I can’t believe the products they sell that are cheaper than Walmart! This place is a hidden gem if you are looking for fresh veggies and international food ingredients! We love shopping here and will continue to do so!
We went to this Middle Eastern store get some kosher food. They had kosher dairy, meat, bread, halvah, falafel mix It was fun to poke around and see what kosher goods we could find. We found cholov Yisroel dairy goods and Lubavitch shechita cold cuts. The breads we found were not pas Yisroel, but they looked amazing. The people who worked here were very nice. I would certainly return to this store.
Edit: We did return and had a very good customer experience. Again, I would highly recommend shopping here.
The cashier woman spent the whole time standing there glaring arms crossed at my toddler who was walking around gleefully NOT hitting the products off the shelves like she was expecting her to (of which I would have fixed if she had..) How about have some class and get over your personal problems against children?! We come as a package deal if you’re looking for more customers.
The best Middle Eastern store in the valley! Clean, well-organized, with a wide variety of products and excellent customer service. Their prices are also the most affordable around.
