Falalfel and chicken schwarma over rice were both really good. Just wish they had a white sauce bottle sitting out so you can add as much as you want, other than that food was great!
The food here speaks for itself! This was my second visit, and the quality and flavor were just as amazing as the first time. The meat is packed with flavor, and the signature white sauce is a must-try. I always order the combo over riceits consistently delicious and never disappoints.
Portion sizes are generous (great for leftovers), so the pricing feels more than fair. Ive never had Middle Eastern cuisine before, but this feels like a perfect blend of Middle Eastern flavors with a Texas-style twist.
Highly recommend if youre looking for something tasty and satisfying in San Marcos!
Side note: I do wish they had Coke Zero on the drink menu, but I can still get my craving satisfied from the Olipops!
So I loved the falafel, the white sauce, the hummus, and the crepe. What I didnt like was it was my first time in the place and no one even acknowledged me when I came up to order. I was looking menu and waiting for someone to say hello, or how can I help, but no one said anything and that is a bad first impression. There were two people working the area and both looked at me in the eye, but neither said ANYTHING. I finally realized I had to order myself. When I got my falafel I had to ask for white sauce, which they did give me. My order was to go. The pita was not great because it got hard super fast. The stuffed grape leaves were good. I lived in the Middle East for 4 yrs so I judged accordingly. The other area, where the crepes are soldthe guy was super nice and answered all my questions. Again, you have to do the ordering on the screen, but I saw that right away because it was the same as the other. You can pay cash. Id go back just for a crepe!!
Everything was DELICIOUS and the taste is similar to the places in Europe
I love the Halal Project. This is some of the best halal food you can get! Their wraps are huge, their fries are incredibly crispy, and their sauces are flavorful! You can order extra sauce for free, and they have a little desert bar where you can get an amazing matcha or desert! While you have to order on a tablet and can’t really interact with the staff, the quality of the food is undeniable. All food is made fresh to order, so expect a bit of a wait.
100000000% will be back, everyone was so nice and order was perfect!
Mohammed was an excellent and generous host. I was eating by myself and he invited me to eat with him and his father whom were in town and shared their food with me. Made me feel like family!
By far the best falafel Ive had!
Beef shawarma was OK but tabbouleh was ridiculously salty. It was basically inedible.
Flatbread was not bad; salad was pretty mid.
Falafel was OK.
We ordered online 2 falafel wraps both the same with no hot sauce and white sauce on the side.
What we got was one with bits of broken falafel and it was considerably skinny.
The other one had spicy falafel. But you didn’t notice the spiciness for the first several bites. The spiciness built and it lingered and it lingered. And if there’s no thing I hate most, it’s lingering.
