I wanted to leave a better review.. I was going to leave a 5 star review but I didnt. Because everytime I come here; theyre always out of food! Its 4pm and theyre out of chicken. And then they say its going to take 20-30 mins more to make. And when I wait, its still not done. Not sure if other customers are just not writing the reviews but you will slowly lose customers this way. This was a very terrible experience. Ive also tried coming here different times and its always the same thing. Not sure if maybe theres no one in charge or theres people in training but this was awful.
Great food, and super nice staff!! Wish I lived closer, so I could come here more often. This is how service is supposed to be! Thanks!
Delicious food, good prices and the best tzatziki ever!
Phenomenal food and service. They really go above and beyond. The spicy hummus and chicken shawarma is the best I have ever had. Everything is made fresh daily and the staff and management take the time to make sure the food is top quality. Highly recommend Pita Guys!
Absolutely delicious. Probably the best tasting lunch that Ive had in months.
Ive been coming here since I went to college nearby and try to stop by everytime Im in town cause its so freaking good and the portions are great. Def my favorite Mediterranean spot!!!
I used to eat here much more frequently several years ago. Portions are not only smaller, but prices have increased considerably. No wonder I see WAY less customers.. it was empty, I was the only customer. It used to be PACKED. Sad to see because its good food.
Good food I just wish there was more of it. The large chicken bowl doesn’t come with extra chicken. You have to pay for extra meat too.
Half of the soda fountain drinks are out of syrup. Full sugar only.
I paid $30 for a small (“large”) bowl of rice with hummus and a little bit of chicken. And a sugary drink.
This place is not worth the price.
This place markets itself as Mediterranean, but its giving more generic Middle Eastern fast-food vibes and not in a good way. Im not mad at the concept, but I am calling for some transparency, especially when it comes to what were actually paying for.
I ordered both the chicken and tri-tip plates. Honestly, it felt like they used the absolute cheapest ingredients they could get away with. The rice was undercooked and had that odd mineral taste like it was cooked with straight tap water full of calcium. Thats not a flavor note I came for.
As for the meats chicken, lamb, and tri-tip there was no real differentiation in seasoning. Everything seemed to follow the same basic spice profile, which made the whole meal feel flat. The chicken was overcooked and dry, like they forgot to rest it after grilling. And if youre going to offer tri-tip, at least season it like you mean it.
The vegetables didnt pass the freshness test either. For a Mediterranean place, where fresh, crisp produce is key, this felt like someone opened the fridge and grabbed whatever had been sitting around the longest.
Heres the thing: youre located next to a public university, and more than half of the student population is on financial aid. Your prices are high, and your quality doesn’t justify it. Cutting corners might help short-term profits, but long term? You’re just driving customers away.
This meal felt like a quality control failure and a tone-deaf one at that. Campus Way has seen places come and go, and unless Pita Guys seriously rethinks its approach, this place is headed in the same direction.
